Great Depression:
The Great Depression began on October 29, 1929, the same day as the stock market crash. The Great Depression was a severe depression. For most countries it started in 1929 and lasted until the late ‘30s or mid ‘40s. It was the longest worldwide depression ever. The Great Depression affected poor and rich. Personal income, tax revenue, profits and prices dropped, while international trade plunged by 50%. In the U.S. unemployment rose up to 25%, some countries rose up to 33%. Many people lost all their money, to earn more they would sell their most of their belongings.
